Our mission is to empower orphaned and vulnerable children by providing nutritious meals, access to education and mentorship. We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by equipping children with the tools, knowledge, and emotional support they need to thrive. OUR SERVICES
Feeding Program
At Beautiful Kids Foundation, we know that a hungry child cannot learn. Many of the children we support go to school on empty stomachs, not by choice, but because there is simply no food at home. This daily hunger affects their concentration, energy, and overall health—making learning nearly impossible. That’s why our Feeding Program is a critical part of our mission. We provide regular, nutritious meals to children in need, especially in schools where food insecurity is highest. A simple plate of food can mean the difference between a child dropping out or staying in class. It gives them the strength to learn, play, and grow. Beyond school meals, we also support families facing severe hardship with food packages to help them get through tough times. Our goal is not only to feed children for a day, but to nurture their bodies and minds so they can focus on building a brighter future. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, the smiles we see at mealtime are more than just signs of satisfaction—they are signs of hope. When you feed a child, you feed their potential.
Education
At Beautiful Kids Foundation, we believe that education is not just a right—it’s a lifeline. Many of the children we support come from vulnerable backgrounds, including orphaned, abandoned, or impoverished households. Without support, most of them would not have the chance to attend school, let alone succeed in it. Through our Beautiful School-to-School Program, we provide school necessities such as uniforms, shoes, books, pens, pencils, school bags, and sanitary items. These simple supplies make an extraordinary difference. A child who once stayed home due to lack of shoes now walks proudly to school. A girl who once missed classes during her monthly cycle now attends every lesson with dignity. We work closely with schools, teachers, and local leaders to ensure each child’s educational journey is supported with love and consistency. We also offer mentorship, guidance, and emotional support, so the children not only stay in school—but thrive. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty through education. By helping these children stay in school, we are planting seeds of hope, resilience, and opportunity that will grow for generations to come.
Mentorship
At Beautiful Kids Foundation, we understand that education alone is not enough. Many of the children we serve carry emotional scars from loss, trauma, neglect, or extreme poverty. What they need—beyond schoolbooks and meals—is someone to believe in them, walk with them, and guide them. That’s where our Mentorship Program comes in. Through this program, we connect vulnerable children with compassionate mentors who offer consistent guidance, emotional support, and life-skills coaching. These mentors become trusted friends and role models, helping children discover their strengths, set goals, and build self-confidence. We talk about real-life issues—peer pressure, discipline, dreams, purpose, and resilience. We also encourage positive behavior, responsible decision-making, and faith in oneself, even in the face of hardship. Mentorship transforms lives. We’ve seen shy children find their voice, discouraged students rediscover hope, and broken hearts start to heal—all because someone took the time to listen, care, and walk beside them. With mentorship, we are not just raising educated children—we are raising leaders, change-makers, and confident young people ready to break the cycle of poverty and create a better tomorrow. Every child deserves someone who believes in them.

Monica Akinyi is the visionary Founder, Executive Director, and Chairlady of Beautiful Kids Foundation, a compassionate non-profit committed to uplifting orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya. Born and raised in Migori County, Monica’s early life of hardship and resilience ignited her passion to create a better future for children facing similar challenges. In 2021, alongside co-founder Dancan Otieno, she established the foundation to bring hope, love, and opportunity to children in need. Under her leadership, the foundation has launched transformative programs in education, feeding, and mentorship—impacting countless lives across Kenya. Monica’s approach centers on holistic child development, meeting basic needs while empowering children through education, emotional support, and strong community partnerships. With a professional background in retail, finance, and administration, she brings strategic insight and stability to the foundation. Her unwavering dedication continues to inspire the mission of Beautiful Kids Foundation, driven by the belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive
DANCAN OTIENO

Dancan Otieno is the Co-Founder, CEO, and Treasurer of Beautiful Kids Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to transforming the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya. Growing up in rural Kenya, Dancan experienced the harsh realities of poverty firsthand—an experience that fueled his passion for change and compassion for underserved children. He co-founded the foundation to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity through education, empowerment, and love. As CEO, Dancan leads the strategic direction and daily operations, known for his hands-on leadership and strong community engagement. As Treasurer, he upholds transparency and accountability in all financial matters, earning trust from donors and partners alike. Under his leadership, the foundation has launched impactful programs providing school supplies, food, mentorship, and emotional support to hundreds of children. Dancan’s work is more than a role—it’s a mission grounded in the belief that every child deserves a chance.

Born and raised in Kenya, Maurice has always believed in the power of service and the importance of giving every child a fair start in life. With a strong background in administration and community development, Maurice plays a key role in keeping the foundation’s operations organized and running smoothly. From coordinating meetings to ensuring clear communication across all departments, he’s the steady hand behind the scenes.
